Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Have just bought 3rd gen apple tv, mainly for mirroring etc with my macbook pro yet I don't have an airplay icon and when I go into display there is no mention of it other than resolutions so bit bemused at the moment? Anyone got any ideas on how I can further check if I can get it compatible or if not why not as I don't fancy paying for airparrot. Ta in anticipation

Thanks for response mende1 but I've already got Mountain Lion on the macbook (10.7.5) so why do I need to buy it again?
You use OS X Lion, not Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8), so AirPlay Mirroring isn't on your computer
I have a late 2011 13" macbook pro with OS x lion but no airplay icon? Can anyone help please
