Pasting text from a browser to Notes causes white background

I have two questions regarding an issue I have with Notes.

1.If I copy and paste from a web page into Notes, the resulting text has a white background. I use CTRL-T to bring up the font dialog box, but nothing I do changes the background back to the default yellow. Does anyone know how to do this? I get that it must be some embedded HTML coding for page color, but I don't seem to be able to change it.

2. In the left hand column, I have two iCloud accounts listed. Only one has any content. What is the other one and how can I delete it?

Many thanks for for any help offered!!

OK, I have the answer on the text background problem. Although I'm a long-term Mac user, believe it or not, I've never had to sample a color with the color wheel! I used the magnifying glass to sample the yellow in Notes, saved it, and then applied it as the page color.

That just leaves me with problem #2, which is why I have two iCloud accounts listed.

Thanks!

It doesn't strip out the white background. Try it yourself and you'll see. Copy something from a web page then try and paste it, with or without formatting, into Notes.

Thanks for the idea, though. I hadn't thought of trying it.

Well yes, I often suggest random crap that I haven't tried.

It worked fine for me. I only tried from these discussions, though.
