Pasting text from a browser to Notes causes white background

OK, I have the answer on the text background problem. Although I'm a long-term Mac user, believe it or not, I've never had to sample a color with the color wheel! I used the magnifying glass to sample the yellow in Notes, saved it, and then applied it as the page color.

That just leaves me with problem #2, which is why I have two iCloud accounts listed.

Thanks for the reply, Eric. Here's a screen cap to clarify. The first one has no content. The second is where all of my notes reside.

The option is greyed out.

Good idea, but unchecking Notes in iCloud in System Preferences deleted the notes in Notes from iCloud, leaving the other, empty iCloud folder, which still couldn't be deleted.

I re-enabled the checkbox and I now have my Notes but still have two sets of iCloud folders, one empty.

I'm going to forward this issue on to Apple and see if I can get any feedback from them. I suspect this has something to do with Notes originally being a bundled application in Mail, but we'll find out.

It doesn't strip out the white background. Try it yourself and you'll see. Copy something from a web page then try and paste it, with or without formatting, into Notes.

Eric, I've tried that and still have the same problem. Somewhere it thinks there is another iCloud-based Notes file when, in fact, there's none.

I just reported this problem to engineering. If they get back to me with a resolution, I'll post the solution in this string.
