Hi,
It seems that this is getting worse, but I'm finding ALOT of sites where Safari doesn't render web fonts correctly. They work fine in Firefox, but Safari is my default browser.
Is there a trick to fixing this?
I can even copy out the text, paste it somewhere else and it looks fine.

Back up all data.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and the support article linked below for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them, then boot in safe mode* (by holding down the shift key at the startup chime) to rebuild the font caches. Boot again as usual and test.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. In that case only, after running Font Book, launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
sudo atsutil databases -remove
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. After running the command, reboot as usual.

If you copy the text, and then paste it into Text Edit, what font does it say it is?
Do you have over 300-400 fonts, or more?
Do you have a professional grade font manager, or do your use Font Book, that comes with your Mac?
What Mac are you using?
How many other sites would you say have this problem on your Mac?
well, interestingly enough, it's working today. I don't know what I could have possibly done to change that. I'll be needing to restart today, so I'll check again.
The font appears to be Helvetica Neue Bold in this particular instance. There was another site where it was a condensed font, and looked quite like Helvetica Neue Condensed bold. I have these fonts open all the time on my machine too.
I do have over 400 fonts, but not all active. I just Suitcase Fusion 4

main site I see this at is Twitter. The other site was Udemy

in Firefox I can see the condensed font. In Safari, the author just looks like helvetica, and the font underneath looks like times italic.

A perfect example of this for me is twitter.com
the main name of the profile looks incorrect:
If you look around really carefully, I would bet you've got duplicates between Helv Neue, bold & condensed bold.
