I recently bought a keyboard for my iPad, and soon realised it was a USB connection which cannot connect to my iPad, and I cannot get a refund, would this adapater here work with it? So I just plug it into my Ipad and keyboard?

You can only use Bluetooth keyboard.
The iPad doesn't support USB devices other than a camera and some flash drives.

Some USB keyboards may interface through the camera connection kit, however, some of the keys may not work.

The link that Tom posted is pretty old. Since then, the amount of power to the dock connecter has been reduced. Many of the things that worked at the time that article was published no longer work.
