When I start the built-in Safari app, IOS displays an iForgot page asking for my AppleID. I've had my 4th generation iPod Touch a few months. Safari always started right up before. How do I stop it displaying iForgot?

Just what site are you visting?

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Try going to Settings>Store and sign out and sign back in.

Thanks for your suggestions, lllaass. I tried signing out and back into Settings>Store. The iForgot screen pops up regardless of whether or not I am logged in to Store. I also tried resetting the IOS device. Neither action resolved the problem.

To answer your first question, the iForgot screen pops up as soon as I tap the Safari app button, before I ever get to the Safari window. I did install some free Apps before the problem arose: SnapTell and Khan Academy. Both apps seem to function well.

I'm grateful for your advice. Do you have any other suggestions?

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
