I recently bought an iPod Touch 4th Generation but was slightly disappointed with the quality of sound. I wanted to sell it on eBay. Can someone please help me to reset it to factory settings as if it was brand new?

Since your iPod is a new 4G it either has iOS 5 or 6. When you erase all content and setting the current iOS remains on the iPod and it can either be set up via wifi or by connect the iPod to a computer an setting up via iTunes.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings. Connect it to your computer to reinstall iOS, but opt to restore as a New Device when prompted.
