ipod touch disabled can't enter passcode

My fourth generation ipod touch is disabled permanently, and there is no way to enter the passcode. (The sliding box has disappeared.) When I plug it in on itunes, it tells me that my ipod cannot be connected because it is locked with a passcode and that I must enter it on the ipod before connecting. I couldn't do this even if I wanted to try and remember it because it's disabled and there is no way to type it in.
