Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Since updating to iTunes 11, the same album appears twice in album view, with Track 1 in one album and remaining tracks in another album. Is this a bug?

For example, the album Future Days by Can shows two album icons in the grid view, one containing Track 1 and the second containing the remaining tracks. This mistake is repeated with many different albums in my library.

Thanks for the link to the page there, it has some relevant explanations and suggestions, but does not solve the problem. I checked the metadata for all tracks in the album carefully by using the Get Info option. All fields are identical except for the track name and the track number, so the tracks should be grouped together into one album. And in every case where this occurs, it is the first track that is separated from all remaining tracks, split into two identical albums.

Use the tip in the section Tried that, there are STILL too many covers!

Visual inspection isn't good enough, and sometimes iTunes won't play ball even when everything is correct. Use the tip and if appears not to have worked close iTunes, count to 10, and then reopen just to give it a chance.

If it still won't link together post a screenshot showing the track listings for consideration...
