Contact Clean App

I downloaded the contact clean app on my iphone 5 to help clean up the 4,000 contacts in my phone. It cleaned them up, but then the app did not transfer the cleaned up contact list to my old contact list. How can I get the cleaned up contact list to appear on my contact list?
