Hi

You must tell more

• Error 2125 - I recognize - but -2135 is new to me

The other is in regard to Movie Length in TIME + MENU time - as this is the limiting factor in iDVD (not GBs or other just time)

a. How many movies

b. duration of each movie

c. Menu selected

d. Is MENU still and silent - or animating and with audio (Takes lot's of the movie time)

e. Encoding quality selected in iDVD

f. HOW did You go from iMovie to iDVD

g. What version of iMovie and iDVD are You using

h. FREE Space on Start-Up (Mac OS) Hard Disk - HOW MUCH

As You see there are lot's of info needed to be of any relevant help

iDVD 08, 09 & 11 has three levels of qualities. (version 7.0.1, 7,0.4 & 7.1.1) and iDVD 6 has the two last ones

• Professional Quality

(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - BEST (but not always for short movies e.g. up to 45 minutes in total)

• Best Performances

(movies + menus less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD (Can be best for short movies)

• High Quality (in iDVD08 or 09) / Best Quality (in iDVD6)

(movies + menus up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above

Menu can take 15 minutes or even more - I use a very simple one with no audio or animation like ”Brushed Metal” in old Themes.

About double on DL DVDs.

My mistake - Sorry The error is 2125 NOT 2135 as I had previously posted. I keep my movies under 60 minutes and do use transitions and titling and to this point have had no issues.

It also mentioned lack of space in start- up but not sure where to look with that either. Up to this point, I have burned many movies in the past and have removed them off my Mac to create space.

Any ideas?? Thanks

Error -2125

OK Error code - 2125 usually indicates that the movie is to large.

It use to pop up when going to iDVD !

iDVD - DO NOT CARE ABOUT Gbs at all. I got movies on 500Mb that do not fit and 50Gb that fits nicely.

iDVD - ONLY CARES ABOUT - Duration. Duration is Movie time + MENU TIME. Choice of

menu and animation of this can take lost of "DURATION" 15 minutes or even more.

Choice of encoding method and use of SL or DL DVDs determine the DVD limit.

DL DVDs can store about double of these times.

ALTERNATIVE - The Error Code can indicate that free space on Start-up (BOOT) hard disk is

less than 25Gb (my minimum)

If you are getting OSStatus error -2125, I've seen this caused by the computer display sleep settings.
Try changing the sleep settings to never and see if you are able to export.

give this a try:

• Share/Export using Quicktime

• choose Quicktime in drop-down

• click Options and

• select Apple Intermediate as codec/ompressor ...

this will clone fast but huge your Project's timeline

check first:

open the resulting mov with Quicktime Player - is it really >60min?

sometimes, there're 'stray relicts' in a Project, which indicates a wrong length.

if .mov is ok in length, drag it into iDVD - should work, does it?
