The SYSTEMUISERVER process consumes all available memory when a USB HDD or USB Flash drive are connected.

Within the past 24hrs, our Macbook Pro started behaving badly, when a USB device is plugged in. When I plug in an external USB hard drive or memory stick, the SYSTEMUISERVER process eats up all available memory. You can imagine what that does to performance. It eliminates performance 🙂 Anyway, I'm asking if any of you have encountered anything similar....and if so, were you able to remedy withOUT a reinstall of the OS?

I tried logging into the "guest" account, and that works just fine. Does not suffer the memory leak, like the primary admin account does.

Any ideas?
