My Outlaws are thinking of buying an iPad but are seriously worried about handing over billing info.
So, when sigining up for an Apple ID, do you have to give card details when registering ?
They were hoping to purchase App's etc by just buying iTunes Vouchers and using these.
You don't need to give a credit card number when creating an account, there are instructions on this page for how not to : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 i.e. select a free app in the store and click on 'Create Apple ID' when 'buying' it. As long as gift cards are available in your country then they should be able to use to buy things (music, films, tv shows, ibooks, apps)
