Ipod touch 5 battery problem

Something's wrong with my ipod touch 5th gen. I've had it for almost two months now. For the first month, the battery life was great and i didn't have any problems at all. Now, sometimes the top part of my screen (near where the front camera is) heats up. And like really heats up. And other times, the notification where I only have 20% battery remaining pops up and the battery icon goes red and then the battery icon goes up to half a battery again! I think this is connected with the heating up because since then my battery life has not been the same. I need helpppp.

It's somewhat of a hardware its not much of a biggie. My ipod touch 5 just gets warm. I've come to believe that either the ram or the processor is right above the ipod logo at the back. Because that's where my ipod gets warm. Try deleteing everything from multitasking and if its still warm then the processor is having too much to work, you probably have a lot of stuff turned on because if the device is getting hot then the battery life is bad. For the 20% thing, it shouldnt be as bad as you describe it but it happens because the ipod does not have a proper battery calibration, which is why the ipod doesnt have the battery percentage. Download an app such as Aconitor which goes up by 1% battery and you'll know what I mean. I still suggest u take it to the apple store because even though mine gets warm its not noticeable
