Push To Talk headset

I just got a 3.5mm acoustic earpiece for my iphone. The speaker works fine but the PTT does not work. It just uses the iphone's built in mic.

Can anybody help

By the sounds of things the accessory doesn’t support the iphone, there is nowhere in the settings menu that allow you to change what mic you want to use, so the accessory probably works fine, it just doesn’t work with an iphone.

3.5mm is a general std. for stereo and mono audio out

there is no std. for mic in in terms of 3.5mm so everybody handle it their own way

so unless the headsets maker by choice or chance handle it the same way as apple does

it will not work
