how do I fix a sticky home button

My home button sticks and I have been to the genius bar once and the tech wiped some solutiuon into the button and it worked for about two days and then reverted back to working only once in a while correctly while most of the time I have to hit the button as many as 7 - 10 times before it works.

This most often due to faulty Home Button Flex, the component damaged is the pad just under the button you touch. This part costs about $2, but the repair includes taking the whole iPhone apart including the Front Screen Assembly. When Apple builds the iPhone 4 it basically starts with the Home Button. The cost of repair at Apple is $149, but since Apple does not repair iPhone 4 Home button, you will get perfect new to you iPhone 4 exactly like yours with 90 day Warranty. A Virtual work-around is to use Assistive Touch. Tap Settings App > General > Accessibilty > Assitive Touch > ON > tap the new small white screen button > Home.
