Advice from anyone who can help us speed up the unlock process of iphone 4 please?

apple has nothing to do with the unlock process it is all your carrier
Wow, 3 have told me the fee was Apple charged to them to unlock the phone and that they send the request to Apple and that is why there is a delay.
Do you know how the unlocking process actually works?
Apple does not charge a fee for unlocking, so the representative at 3 is giving you incorrect information. 3 is completely and totally responsible for generating the unlock authorization and sending it to Apple, so any delay is almost certainly on the part of 3. You will need to continue to work this problem through 3. 3 says on their web site that their process can take up to seven days.

Thanks for your help, I think 3 will receive a peice of my mind in the morning.
I am waiting for my 3 phone to be unlocked having paid the fee. They tell me its Apple that need to action this and causing the delay. Is this true and how can I speed up the process?
