SIM FAILURE

I have had my Iphone 4S for one month. Less than two weeks after I purchased my Iphone I started having SIM failure pop up on my homescreen, and I would loose service. I took it to the local Verizon store and they said that it was an issue with my settings (which were still factory set). Within two days my phone started again with the SIM failure, so I took it to another Verizon store where they concluded my SIM card was dirty. The rep cleaned my SIM card and put it back into my phone. He assured me that it should not happen with my phone and if it did to contact Apple. Four days later, my phone is once again showing me an SIM failure message. The only way to regain service is by shutting off the phone and restarting it. Anyone else having this type of an issue?
