podcast not updating even with new re-direct code

Our podcast reverted to an old website around the end of October.... I have been in touch with support via email but have not been able to get the issue resolved.

Our address is http://www.rmcmchurch.org/podcast/pod_current_sunday.rss

https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/weekly-sunday-messages-at/id128588844

The iTunes site gives me an old address of http://www.rockymountainchristianministries.com/podcast/pod_current_sunday.rss

I have inserted via

<itunes:new-feed-url>

the address - but folks are still getting the podcast only though 10/28/2012

Any help would be appreciated - I volunteer for this frustration. :-)

As you say, iTunes is looking for a feed at

http://www.rockymountainchristianministries.com/podcast/pod_current_sunday.rss

However the file at this address is not a feed, it is a web page (which is a parking page), and so cannot be read by iTunes. Consequently the Store has stuck at the last date the feed worked, and if you subscribe it turns up empty.

You need to place a copy of your new feed (which contains the redirect URL) at the old address in order to sort this out. (The redirect tag has to be at the old feed URL, not the new one.) However it rather looks as if the domain has expired so you would need to renew it to do this.

The alternative is to email Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com and ask them to change the Store to your new feed. Either way you need to sort this out quickly, because if you continue with a non-working feed URL you will eventually find your podcast has been removed from the Store.

I did explain that. You have only two options:

1. Renew the domain name, place a copy of the feed on it at the old URL, and add the redirection tag to it.

or

2. Email podcasts 'at' apple.com and ask them to change the Store to using the new feed. This is probably going to be the preferable option, though I can't predict whether they will do this or how long it will take - however it's worked well for other people.
