getting L9 onto ML from upgrade install

Hey all

Got myself a new machine today with ML on it, was super excited to get started on it and started moving my files over.

When i got to putting my Logic stuff on, a straight transfer of the files didn't seem to work so i decided to do a fresh install from the discs.

The copy of 9 ive got is a upgrade disc which allows you to upgrade from Logic Pro 7/8. So naturally i stuck the Logic 7 disc i had in and went to install, only to find that PPC apps are no longer supported! (***?!)

So does this mean that the only way i can put Logic on my new machine is by buying a full copy of 9?! Cause i sure as **** dont want to do that!

Hi

If I recall correctly, the L9 upgrade disks & installer do NOT need the older version to be installed. It will either ask for the old (original) serial number (L8 ?), or the XS key for Logic 7.
