Why the super slow internet connection on my MBP?

This falls into the category of FYI, or FWIW. I'm going to answer my question for the good of the community,

I suddenly noticed a significant reduction in my internet connection at home on my MacBookPro. According to speakeasy.net/speedtest I was getting over 11 Mbps down and 1.5 up before then suddenly I was down to 1 Mbps downloads and .25 uploads. I tried 3 browsers and an scp transfer via the terminal from my web server and all with the same results.

However, the mystery deepened when I tested other computers in the house and they were getting the original 11 Mbps. So, I took my computer downstairs next to the router and also got the original 11 Mbps. So, I went back upstairs, but instead of plugging in my old 23" Cinema display, I tested without. You know what happened, right? Yup, 11 Mbps. Plugged in the Cinema display and back down to 1 Mbps.

I have no idea what is going on, other something in the Cinema display is interferring with my wireless connection.
