Nano resetting at Music Menu

I added some songs to my iPod nano today, but after I ejected it (properly, from iTunes) my nano will reset whenever I access the Music menu. It does not reset at any other menu. I did many "resets" of my own, updated the software to 1.1.1, and still, no dice. The music will PLAY fine if I hit play, but if I try to go back to the main Music menu, again, a reset.

Any advice before I restore?

I'm sorry, I had never used this before, and didn't understand that the star indicated the original poster had deemed the subject solved. My "redo" the whole thing, I meant lose all of my music and photos and have to reload them. I didn't know if there was any other alternative, or why it had suddenly decided to do that, or if it would continue resetting.
Thank you

Well, whilst i don't have an answer as to why this should happen, I can tell you that a restore isn't really that big of a deal. It's quite a common fix for iPod ills.

It shouldn't take too long to reload all your music etc. Depending on the size of your library of course.

Sometimes you need to restore the iPod to cure an unexplained (and minor) software glitch.

However, if you constantly needed to restore, then would indicate a more serious issue.
