I can't get my transitions to work.

I can't get my transitions to work.

Whenever I insert a transition, it automatically shows up as 0.1 seconds.

When I go into the inspector to change the transition length, it changes in the inspector, but when I play the movie, it's still 0.1 seconds.

Does anyone have any suggestions? (Also, it doesn't matter which transition it is - no matter which one, the same problem happens. Not sure if that would have any effect anyway, but I thought I should through that out there.)

How long are the clips on either side of the transition? A transition can be no longer than half the length of the shortest adjacent clip.

Well, that explains it. The shortest adjacent clip was 0.1 seconds, since I was trying to insert it into a stop motion animation video. 😝 Thanks!

*Makes slide long enough to extend the transition to 0.5 seconds* That worked! 😀

Except... Now the shortest adjacent clip is 0.5 seconds, and the transition itself is 0.4. 😕

It might also help you to read how transitions affect adjacent clips. See this link. Click on the third item "Transition Overlap".
