thks. but the problem for my version is that it doesnt have a software update icon....i have to upgrade it from the itune store but cant find it, unfortunately.

When attempting to update on I-tunes for my IPad, I keep getting an error message: "The iPad software update server could not be contacted." Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later.
How do I check my network settings? Is the message referring to settings on my iPad or my PC? I synced the two devices before attempting the update.
