Q: I hate 11.0 version of Itunes, how can I go back to the prior version? it was great!

Have a read of this thread <<https://discussions.apple.com/message/20482511#20482511>>  it is long but there are a few responses in there that should help. Have a look around page 9 or 10 for starters.

1. Quit iTunes.
2. Download and install the latest version of iTunes. (Substitute iTunes 10.7)
3. Use the Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer (Windows) to go to the iTunes folder that contains the iTunes library files:
   
   Mac OS X
   /Users/username/Music/iTunes/
   
   Microsoft Windows Windows XP and Windows 2000
   \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
   
   Microsoft Windows Windows Vista and Windows 7
   \Users\username\Music\iTunes\
4. Drag the iTunes Library file from the above location to the Desktop.
5. Open the Previous iTunes Libraries folder in the iTunes folder.
6. Locate the file named iTunes Library YYYY-MM-DD where YYYY-MM-DD is the date you upgraded iTunes (Year-Month-Day).
7. Drag this file to the iTunes folder (the enclosing folder).
8. Rename this file to iTunes Library.
9. Open iTunes.

To roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the installer from here, uninstall iTunes and suppporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.

See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

Nobody likes change me included, I am not a younger person that understands computers I could use use the old version it was pretty user friendly this version ***** badly I can't even figure out how to navigate to a song. With a little over 5000 songs trying to scroll through with the wheel on mouse takes forever. Is apple really this screwed up? I would love to go back to the older version but reading some of the discussion to me sounds like a TOTALLY different language. What old F*&^%#$ like me do? PLEASE APPLE STOP GO BACK THIS VERSION SU&^%.

I have no Idea but I'm struggling with Itunes now too, I have created a post too. I just wanted to add incase Apple actually read these things and see they have dropped a clanger of the highest order. I am mid 30s and finding my way around a computer/software is easy but this is such a pain, its far too complicated, and just bloody pointless.

Imagine being mid late 50's and onwards buying your first Ipod and then getting this problem of trying to work out how to add music. Yes help files are there but life is to short for simple things like Itunes being complicated.
