Lately, I am being bothered by my rampant CPU overusage for sites such as Youtube and Niconico Douga.  Just recently, I saw my activity monitor show a 97% CPU usage on Chrome Renderer, and at times Chrome's Flash Plugin Pepper go to 80%.  Yes, this pushes up my temp to near 100C, and that is making me worried.  Here is my system spec:

Model Name:          MacBook

Model Identifier:          MacBook6,1

Processor Name:          Intel Core 2 Duo

Processor Speed:          2.26 GHz

Memory: 2 GB

Has a cooling pad and SMC Fan Control running at 6200 rpm

This has been a continuing problem for me, and I cannot seem to find a solution to this **** problem.

Stop using Chrome and return to Safari.

are you saying that as a serious answer, or just trolling?  Besides, I get nearly the same results on Safari as well and Firefox

Either find something on the internet to clean your computer up or take it to an Apple provider so they can clean it out for you.  Other than that, I would delete Chrome and any other browsers that didn't come with your computer.  I use Safari and only Safari and I haven't had a problem and I've had my computer for 2 1/2 years.

like, defrager or are you suggesting something else in my computer is hogging my CPU process -since everything related to my CPU spike would be anything dealing with Flash (yes, even on Safari).
