Using Airplay with iPhone & Airport Express, outputing audio on both

Hello,

My nice new Airport Express works fine with my iPhone - awesome !

However, choosing to output audio to Airport Express stops audio on the iPhone.

I would like to continue outputing audio on the iPhone as well as the Airport express (both checked).

Is this possible ?

This way I could have a set of speakers connected to iphone in the living room and another set in the kitchen playing in unison...

I hope it's possible !

Thanks,

Dylan

Hi - sorry but the iPhones are not designed to do what you are asking - you could do it using an additional Express but you would need a third party software called Airfoil and it would have to run through your computer.

Ok. Now I'm really annoyed. I bought a second airport express hoping to at least stream from the iPhone to two airports since I can't stream and play on iPhone.

Even though the iPhone sees both airports it will only play on one at a time.

How is this'playing music around your house'?

So the only way to play to multiple airports is with iTunes ?

That's literally ******** ie. the tech is fully capable but is being ******** by apple..?

Am I correct ?
