I can still load up Windows just fine but for some reason can't open up the Mac OS parition. I got Disk Utility up but it just says "The drive has a hardware problem that can't be repaired" Please help!

oops sorry. it's OSX Lion.
Reboot from the recovery partition and run Repair Disk.
I do that by rebooting and holding command + R right?

I got an error, "Disk utility can't repair this disk...disk, and restore your backed-up files."

I did not suggest reinstalling (yet) please read my post again.

There is a S.M.A.R.T. virus that you might look into from the more secure Windows side.

Then be prepared to lose your stuff.
You can try Disk Warrior, it's $100 and may be able to fix this problem but there is no guarantee.
If DW can't do it (or you don't want to spend $100 try reinstalling, I think that will also fail and you'll have to erase the disk and reinstall.
If you have to get the data on it your only choice is to remove it from the Mac and connect it externally (either to a different Mac or to your Mac after you have replaced the HDD with a new one)
Ok, I erased the HDD. But now, when I try to reinstall OS X from the DVD it gets stuck on the apple screen and beeps 3 times consecutively
Why did you erase the disk, I asked you to reinstall without erasing, as of now you have no data left on the disk, it has been erased!
3 beeps means bad Ram
I know. I tried reinstalling but I couldn't continue with the installation because of the S.M.A.R.T. errors.
