No 'new mail' sound for one email account.

I have four email accounts on Mail (10.6.8) three POP accounts and one IMAP account. For some reason my one IMAP account doesn't make an alert sound to tell me I have new mail but the other three POP accounts all do. Any ideas?

MacBook (13-inch Aluminum Late 2008), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
