What will happen after disabling iCloud and connecting my iPhone to my iMac?

Now that I disabled iCloud on my iPhone, indeed the data is still available on my iPhone.

But now I tried to disable iCloud on my iMac, the data is lost.

Is it safe to connect my iPhone to my iMac and will my data (from my iPhone) be restored on my iMac? Or will I los all data?
