Why do I have no sound on my iPad?
I've checked the settings and everything seems ok but still no sound!

Double-click the Home button and swipe Task Bar to the right. Check volume and mute settings.

Thanks I've done that but I don't understand what I've got there - there is a brightness slider and another slider which does nothing and then between these two the type of buttons associated with playing music or a video.
Check volume and mute settings on far left:

Make sure Side Switch is set to Lock Rotation and not Mute

Thanks again Diavonex -sorted the side switch to Lock Rotation not mute but the buttons on the far left are for brightness not volume. I've messed about with the side buttons pressing the + lots of times in case it's on really low but still no sound. Have been looking at the online user manual but I'm still at a loss. :-(
I've got the same darn issue. Sound works with headphones. Pull out headphones and slider disappears and rocker switch does nothing. What gives?
