Pick up the upgraded macbook pro retina with 16gb memory in retail store NYC

Hi!

Pick up from the Apple Store

Hello, I live in Russia, a few days flying on a tourist trip to New York, I would like to buy MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch with 16GB of memory, these laptops are available in retail stores? Or it should be buying online and choose to pick up from the retail store? If I order it with the option to pick up from the retail store I have time to get it? I'm flying out of NYC 14 numbers, with options to pick up on the website says "Ships to store. Available Dec 12 at Apple Store, Fifth Avenue"

What happens if it is not delivered by that date? Or I for some reason can not fly to the scheduled date?

You should pose these questions to the Apple representative when you call to order your MBP. This forum is composed of users such as you and no one hear can give any definitive answers to your questions. Only guesses.

Let us know how you like it - and, by the way, you can always either use Google Translate, if you wish, or just write in Russian and we can use Google Translate and answer in Russian (it's actually pretty good at translation).

I would have advised to just fly into New York as planned and go into one of the Apple Stores to purchase and collect on the same day. If it is the standard 16GB MBPr you're after it is very likely they will have it in stock. Sure, there's a slight risk in this but I would be very suprised if any of the Manhatten stores don't have one for you.

Fair point - However, from my experiece, whilst on holiday in 2007, I picked up a non-standard MBP with extra memory and an anti-glare screen at the 5th Avenue store.
