New iPhone 5 and no 3G only E-edge WHY ?!

I received my new iPhone 5 32GB black yesterday and my 3G was working for the first couple of hours. Then today suddenly my internet (except Wi-Fi) isn't working anymore. On the top of the screen there is the big "E" for edge but I want 3G! . I looked up the settings for my mobile phone company and everything is in place.

It just ***** that my new veeery expensive phone isn't working properly😠😢. What happened ? What should I do ? Does someone have the same problem ? thanks for helping. ( sorry my english isn't the best)😁

The most likely cause is your carrier doesn't have 3G coverage in your location, or the 3G antennas are overloaded.

you're probably right :/ my stepdad has a iphone 4s and the same plan and it doesn't work too 😟

I have exactly the same problem. My wife has an iphone 4s, and she has 3G, while I, with my brand new iphone 5, Edge. We are using the same carrier. Is kind of annoying. Any ideas why did this happened to you?

Same problem here in Italy, with my old 3Gs no problem with 3G network, since I bought the iPhone 5 I have problems getting a good 3G signal 😠 .

I'm using the same carrier, same USIM, SAME PLACES!!! 😠 😠

I'm having pretty much the same problem with LTE,4g, and Edge

If your on ATT, they started upgrading all the hspa towers(3G) to hspa+(4g), so if you don't get 3G at all, it may just be upgraded in your area already.

Exactely the same problem here in Brazil, with my old 3Gs no problem with 3G network, since I bought the iPhone 5 I have problems with 3G signal. Some time the 3G signal gone.

I'm using the same carrier, same USIM, SAME PLACES!!!
