If you mean purchase Applecare, no. that has to be done within 30 days of purchase.

You can purchase the extended warranty anytime before your one year warranty expires.

My bad. AppleCare Plus has to be purchased within 30 days. Not the standard applecare plan. But I was under the impression that was no longer avilable. Not so?

I was also under the impression that the old AppleCare plan was no longer available for the iPad either. I thought it was either AppleCare+ or nothing at all.

Every internet search that I do on "iPad extended warranty" leads me back to the AppleCare+ only warranty. I can't document that the old warranty is still around.

That brings up a good point. It is different in different countries due to local regulations and consumer laws.

Just for the record Apple care + is not available in UK nor I suspect in EU

are as of old up to end of 12 month warranty to buy
