Grey screen at startup. I have a Macbook Pro, have tried a Safe Boot and NVRAM reset. Help?

I read the articles here and have so far tried all of the non-invasive things listed... I can't find my startup disk and don't have time to go to an Apple store. College student and finals are next week... Please give me anything you've got, I'm willing to try anything to get my computer to wake up.
