Every time I try to open Twiter.com it misdirects to Virtue.com?!

Every time I try to open Twitter.com, it directs to Virtue.com?! This only happens on this unit, my Dell desktop, and my wife's Dell laptop are not affected. Or, if it won't open at all, it sayas that the Security Certificate is mismatched, and the names are not the same. So how can I pont Twitter.com back to Twitter.com, and no longer point to Virtue.com?

Also, every time I try to use the Help function, I get a page that says "This informations is not availalbe. Please try again later"?!

Launch the Network Utility application in any of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Network Utility in the icon grid.

Step 1

Select the Lookup tab and enter

twitter.com

in the address field. Press return. Post the output – the text, please, not a screenshot.

Step 2

Select the Ping tab and do the same.

Thank you for your prompt, and thoughtful Reply, I appreciate it muchly 🙂 After I posted above, I Reset Safari twice in a row, then attempted to open Twitter. At that time it decided to direct to a Wall Street Journal site? (really?!). So after rebooting yet again, when I tried to open Twitter, it didn't misdirect, but just sat there throbbing. Hmmm... okay.... so just for giggles and grins I went to Google, then from there to Twitter. And it worked?! And has been fine since then?

That said, I have saved this page for down the road because you know... Skynet is gonna launch those missiles one day. That, and I figure that if it hapenned once, it can happen again, so next time your information could be very helpful to me!

Many Thanx,

Jamie Rich
