Hi all,

Hoping someone can help me out, I currently use the next door neighbours wireless internet (with permission!), however I only get coverage in limited parts of my house. Could I use an Airport Extreme to extend the coverage? How would I need to setup?

I also want to utilise the wireless printing function of the Extreme, hence why not using a Wifi Extender.

Thanks!

Janice.

Could I use an Airport Extreme to extend the coverage?

Probably, but only if the neighbors also have an AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express or Time Capsule.  (It takes two Apple devices to be able to "extend").

Might that be the case?  If so, we'll need to know the model number of the neighbor's device to confirm further.

No they don't have an Airport Extreme, Express or Time Capsule

    Thanks for your help.

If you can, find out what they are using.....make and model number...... and then check that manufacturer's web site to see if they offer an "extender" for their wireless router.

That would provide the best chance at compatibility.
