Cannot remove nanoSIM card tray from iPhone 5.

I just bought an iPhone5 but needed to change the SIM card for a new one. I insert the little pin into the hole, the tray pops out, but I can only pull it further for 2/3 millimeters... I believe the SIM is loose in its space inside the phone and doesn't let me to remove the tray. Is there anything I can do to solve this? I have no phone at the moment, for the SIM inside it is inactive and I need to replace it with the SIM I just got today.

I had the same problem. It was caused by the SIM card being loose and blocking the tray exit. I have solved this by inserting a thin piece of paper in the hole above the SIM card to push it down. Then it was possible to pull the tray out.

You should consider being very careful before inserting anything into the phone. You'll most likely need to take it to an Apple Store and get them to open it. This issue can occur if the sim card was cut down. It can also occur if it hasn't been.
