When I hold the D key at startup, Nothing happens. ATH won't start, I have tried it with ethernet plugged in.

When I hold the D key at startup, Nothing happens. ATH won't start, I have tried it with ethernet plugged in i have tried it with power, i have tried holding the option key, the lady at the store seemed to be able to do it (i don't see what keys she pressed, But i can't)

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), 2009 Macbook Pro

You need to have the applications DVD that shipped with your mac inserted in the optical drive. Your computer doesn't have the AHT installed on it or over the internet it resides on the applications DVD.
