Dec 4, 2012 8:11 PM in response to Bob Timmonsby LaPastenague,You should have no problem from windows.. as long as you load bonjour on to it.. the whole airport utility for windows is good as it has bonjour and agent for disk access.
If you need more.. SMB names.. short, no spaces pure alphanumeric are good network practice anyway.
BTW filebrowser on ipad uses SMB access to the network.. so it makes sense to keep SMB names.
Particularly hard disk share name. Don't forget it. Apple use a mixture of names.. some with spaces and some not.. I have no idea why.
In file sharing page of the airport utility if possible turn on guest account to read and write and correct WORKGROUP.. being exactly that.
