I can not find messages anywhere on my computer. I have looked for a link to download, but it disappeared. When I downloaded Mountain Lion to other laptops it has worked fine. This is a new computer and I can't find it.

Have you checked for the Messages app in your Applications folder? I believe that's the replacement.
I looked in my applications, searched launchpad for it and have searched the computer and finder. It's no where to be found
I didn't mean iMessage........ with 10.8.2, it is now called "Messages".
If you don't have Messages, you'll need to reinstall the OS since that application is part of the OS.
You have 10.7.5 listed as your OS. Messages is not part of that OS. iMessges was a beta that worked in 10.7, but it has been discontinued.
Argh, I didn't even notice that it was possibly Lion (after seeing Mountain lion in the post).....

I have checked the posters join date (5th Dec 2012) so it would seem that the OS listed is their current one.
