My imac will not boot up.

It froze so I turned it off. Now it won't boot up at all.

Any ideas

iMac, iOS 6.0.1

Sounds like your HD crashed. Run Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode 3x. Document all error codes and then take it in fo rservice.

Thanks for your help.

i don't know how to do a hardware Test when it won't boot up.

I tried to boot it from the original disc but it wouldn't recognise the hard drive at all

Ditto from backup Hard drive.

Any ideas??
