I would like to extend my WiFi network about Ethernet connections with devices Capsule, Extreme and Express. How does this work?

Hi all,

I would like to build up a well working WiFi covering network about the Ethernet infrastructure which is existing. That means my Capsule is connecte to the DSL-Modem with "create a network". The Extreme is integrated into the same Ethernet network with the same parameters to "create a network". But if I connect the Express to the network via the WAN plug in the network crashes. It is only working if I set the Express to "extend the network" without any Ethernet connections.

Is this the only way to install such a kind of WiFi?

Thx in advance

No - you can set up the Express as a wired extender but it is a little tricky since it is already a wireless extender - In the wireless extend mode, the Express ethernet port(s) become LAN port(s) so if you connect back to a router you are producing a feedback loop that shuts down the network - to use the Express as a wired extender you must first reset it to factory settings and then reconfigure it via ethernet using the WAN port - you can then set it up to create a wireless network as you did for your other devices.
