Have you tried this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1591
Hi Katie
every one of them...just see now that my iPad 3 is also not visible. All software is fully up to date...
Thanks anyway
By the way...all perfect on my iMAC!
Do they work in a new user or another computer?
Have you tried this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3540
TS3540 says "Note: These steps do not apply to OS X Lion or Mountain Lion." Can I still apply these steps, as I am using mountain lion
I would try safe boot/mode to make sure its not someething running thats causing it first.
if it still does not work, I would see if its system wide or not by creating a new user on your computer. If its the same issue in new user, you know that you will be reinstalling the OS. If it works in new user, you know you will be pulling more-than-likely some files.
ok...will try that...tried to re-install iTunes 11 (didn´t go through) fortunately I also have an iMac, there it worked perfectly well and iPad and iPhone are recognised...I let you know for my MBP
thanks for your help
Peter
In iTunes. View>Show Sidebar.
ok...new user and all is fine...iPhone and iPad show up...
Make sure you are viewing your Library ... not the iTunes Store. iDevices only show up under Library 🙂
A big thank you!
