I received a mail on 3rd dec 2012, It claims to be a $500 credit, billed to Hilary Shandonay for a christmas gift card and have my mail I'd on it but I have not brought anything from iTunes can any one help, it looks like to be a spam.

Yes, I received this too! $500 gift card would be great if only it was true. very disturbing since I've been at the apple genius bar many times this month, wondering where my email address was collected.

I got one to. I have dozens of emails to help me identiy where spam comes from (depending on what email ID the spam is sent to I can possibly tell where it started). In this case spam sent to my email IDs that Apple does not have. So for me my email at Apple was NOT compromised...FYI

There are many, many, many ways to collect an email - I wouldn't necessarily blame it on the genius bar. Any email that's forwarded to large groups, any email used to sign up for any account on any site... iTunes cards are so widely used that I wouldn't ascribe it to someone targeting people who have been to the Genius Bar.
