After updating NVIDIA Display Driver to 310.70 in Windows, brightness can't be changed, neither by function keys nor power option in windows interface.

I have the exact same problem. MBPro 15 inch with a 650M Geforce card. However, I'm pretty sure this is an issue with Nvidia drivers and not the Macbook, but I guess I can't be sure. Would really appreciate a fix, I have really sensitive eyes and can barely use my windows side now.
I have posted in the NVIDIA forums. Let's see what happens. I am running Windows 8 Pro on a mid 2012 15 inch non retina

Could anyone see changes in 310.90 which was released on 5th January?
310.90 has given me brightness adjustment again.
