intel hd 4000 vram 768mb

hi

i read the support article by apple saying that the vram of the new intel hd 4000 graphics card can be increase to 768mb of vram

does that happen when i upgrade the ram of my 2012 cmbp 2.3ghz with 16gb of ram?

i currently hav 8gb of ram in it and in the first 3 months i check with the system information i had vram of 512mb for integrated graphics

but recently i checked it again it only report saying my vram for my integrated graphics is only 384mb

may i know if my macbook pro is faulty?

I have the same exact problem as you did you where the vram shows up as 384mb even though i have 8 gb of ram ddr3 of course. did your macbook pro come with 8 gb or did you add it. Im guessing that it came with it, just wondering. I also heard that people have had the same problem after the update, not sure which one im only going with the new 10.8.2 update for mountain lion.
