iTunes 11.0 - no longer gives acurate playlist times

Its just the general dumbing down of iTunes.

55minutes - call it an hour

65minutes - call it an hour

so on

Of course it KNOWS the correct duration, computers are very good with numbers, its just that the brains at Apple know best and reckon that Joe Public does not need this info any longer 😟

This is really stupid! If the time goes above one hour, the next time change is to 1.1 hours then 1.2 hours. Who uses decimal timing? Where's good old hours, minutes and seconds.

I have been relatively happy with iTunes 11 but things are going from bad to worse.

W T F are Apple playing at, next we will have 100 minutes to an hour and 20 hours to a day, might as well round those up or down:)

It is still wrong. Correct times are not being shown no matter what view I Opt for.

Anyone figure this out? Agree that even after selecting View > Show Status Bar, the time only shows in minutes up to 59 minutes (I assume), as now at the bottom I can see one playlist that says 30.9 minutes, then another that says 1 hour, and another that says 1.1 hours so I assume once it gets beyond 59 minutes it switches to the hour format. Same thing, I'm a fitness instructor and need to know exact time in minutes.

I can't stress how much this bothers me. It makes burning a CD with standard 80 minutes WAY more difficult than it should be, since you just have to guess exactly what time 1.2 hours is. Why!? Why make it like that? I remember a few months ago there was a bug or something and people couldn't update iTunes if they wanted to. That was a blessing in disguise. Oh well, lesson learned: from now on, one must research before any updates. Between this and Java, and even certain browsers, you gotta do your homework!

You also can no longer open a playlist as a separate window. When I'm making a playlist I like to be able to remind myself of what I have on it. You used to be able to have it open at the bottom of your screen and look at it without losing your place on your Music list. Not anymore I'm afraid to say.

Are you still having this problem? When I click the "show status" bar, it appears. If the bottom status bar still says 1 hour (the abbreviated time), just click on it. Like literally click on where it says the "1 hour" on the bottom status bar. That will toggle the bottom status bar to show the full time of 59:34 seconds or whatever. Working for me.

Yes. This was fixed in update to 11.0.2.
