Text Flashing While Typing on Web. Webpages glitching.

While on the web, I primarily use Safari, web pages tend to blink and flash, esepcially when typing something (i.e. Gmail or Facebook). It actually prevents me from seeing what I'm typing and sometimes parts of the web page. The flashing seems to persist when i wave my cursor around the affect area to reactivate the clickable icons of the page. Is anyone else having this problem? I thought an update might have solved the bug but it seems to be persisting. If someone can help, I could provide a screenshot as well when it happens.
