purchased apps not showing

I purchased aperture 3 from apple retail store when it was released. Then the app store came about and I have used it to update the app. But the problem is, it does not show up in my purchased apps. how can i get a physically purcahsed app to show up in the apps on the app store? Reason I ask, I lost my install disc and had to torrent a copy to get he installer. I hate doing that but I had no choice. I have a serial number. SO I wasnt buying another copy.
