When is apple going to bring out the iphone 5 car charging units?
Or should I just puchase another AC charging unit and use the USB connection in
a universal car charger?

Apple store in Los Gatos, CA said that they had some last week, but apparently sold out. I don't know if they were Apple brand. I went online to Amazon.com, and found that there were numerous car chargers for the iPhone 5, but all of them had very bad reviews. I went to newegg.com and there were several third party (non Apple) car chargers, and none had bad reviews. I ordered one. I believe that newegg.com gives a one year warrantee on its products. I haven't received it yet. Another alternative is to use the "lightning to USB" cable that came with your iPhone 5, and plug it into a cigarette lighter adapter (like many that are available at Amazon.com).
